It was a year and a half or two years ago that I had first seen the Glen Beck show on Fox News. My first impression was that he seemed a little quirky. I remember he was wearing a blue blazer and tie, he seemed dressed appropriately, but once the camera did a wide shot of him he was wearing ripped faded jeans and it looked like a pair of old sneakers. Who is this odd ball was the first thing to come to mind.
The controversy that surrounds Glen Beck is vast. As he has become more and more robust in his insightful, or as some would say inciteful, investigations in his attempt to expose the president 's inappropriate actions and that of the people that he surrounds himself with, Beck has become more controversial.
Beck defends groups such as the Tea Party in their protests against the expansion of government and the intrusion of the "Big Brother" government that wants to control the lives of the American people.
Beck has represented himself to be a full blown red, white and blue American. His thirst for knowledge and his quest for the truth are evident in his daily programs whether on TV or the radio. From exposing the back door politics of Washington, to the federally backed organizations like Unicorn, to a seemingly too close a relationship between the White House and the Unions, Beck has backed up his findings with undeniable proof with video tapes, speeches etc. In one particular instance, a president of a powerful union told his members that they, the union, contributed vasts amounts of money and support to elect our president and now it was time for this President of the United States to reward them and pay them back for their support. Is this how things work in our government today?
You may realize by now that I think Glen Beck is a patriot, a man who loves his country and is willing to defy anything or anyone who endeavors to destroy our way of life. There are those that may think that he is a madman but that is what makes our country great, the freedom of speech, the freedom to think and live free in this great country of ours.
